Q1. Chempazhanthy is a village in the suburbs of Thiruvananthapuram City, about 7 km north, the capital of Kerala state in India. Chempazhanthy became notable after the birth of Shree Narayana Guru. There was a small hut called ‘Vayalvaaram” where Shree Narayana Guru was born in this house in August, 1856 in the month of Chinjam (Malayalam Month) under the star “Chathayam”.

Q4. The Savarna Processeion . In the meanwhile, Mahatmaji felt that the support of the Savarnas was essential for the success of the Vaikom Movement. So he suggested to the leaders at Vaikom, that a procession consisting of only Savarnas should march to Trivandrum, the capital, to register their solidarity with the Avarnas and lend their full support to the cause. The Savarna procession of about 500 men set out from Vaikom on November 1, 1924 under the leadership of Mannathu Padmanabhan.

Indian Air Force (IAF) invites applications from unmarried male candidates for selection test in August 2013 to join as Airman in Group 'X' (Technical) Trades.
Qualification : Intermediate or 10+2 or Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks. OR Three years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks, Age : Born between 01 September 1993 and 30 December 1996 (both date inclusive)
Training : Initial Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) will be provided at Airmen Training School, Belgaum (Karnataka) for 12 weeks. After it Trade Training will be provided.
Selection Procedure : Written Test : Test will be held during August 2013. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) : those who pass written test will undertake Physical Fitness Test. It consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 8 min., Interview : Those who pass both the written and PFT will be called for interview.
How to Apply : candidate must indicate three choices of the examination centre in order of preference. Application form which is predefined should be typed on A4 size paper only. e-medicine : Modern Health Care

eMedicine is an online clinical medical knowledge base that was founded in 1996 by two medical doctors, Scott Plantz and Richard Lavely. The website is searchable by keyword and consists of approximately 6,800 articles, each of which is associated with one of 62 clinical subspecialty textbooks. Pediatrics, for example, consists of 14 subspecialty textbooks (endocrinology, genetics, cardiology, pulmonology, etc.). For example, 750 articles comprise the textbook on emergency medicine. Each article is authored by board certified specialists in the subspecialty to which the article belongs.

    Indian Navy invites unmarried Men and Women to join Navy as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer asPilot/Observer in Aviation Cadre of Executive Branch Course Commencing - December-2013

    Applications are invited from unmarried Male and Female Indian Citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer as Pilot/Observer in Aviation Cadre of Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing December 2013 at Naval Academy.

    Pilot/ Observer SSC Officer  in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 grade pay Rs.5400/-

    Age : Between 19 to 24 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1990 to 01 January 1995; both dates inclusive)

    Educational Qualifications : (a) A Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum aggregate of 70% marks with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects at 10+2 level.  (b) for CPL - Graduation with 60% marks with Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.

    SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.
